Ohio Valley Conference basketball tournament results and bracket: Tennessee State, Eastern Kentucky move on

The Ohio Valley Conference Tournament has an all-chalk semifinal round after Tennessee State and Eastern Kentucky coasted to victories on Thursday.

The 2013 Ohio Valley Conference Tournament semifinal round is set after the Tennessee State Tigers and Eastern Kentucky Colonels emerged victorious on Thursday.

Robert Covington scored 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead No. 4 Tennessee State past the No. 5 Morehead State Eagles, 88-75. Jordan Cyphers added 23 points for the Tigers, while Patrick Miller chipped in 15 points and 10 assists. Tennessee State will face the top-seeded Belmont Bruins on Friday at 6 p.m. ET on ESPNU.

No. 3 Eastern Kentucky cruised to an 84-69 victory over the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks, and will take on the No. 2 Murray State Racers after the completion of the Tennessee State-Belmont contest, also on ESPNU. Thanks to the OVC's two-division format, Eastern Kentucky was seeded lower than Murray State despite having a better record in conference play. The Colonels have a shot to prove they're the better team with a berth in the OVC Championship Game on the line.
