Wooden Award finalist Marcus Smart finished with 21 points, six assists and six rebounds to lift the No. 13 Oklahoma State Cowboys to a 76-70 victory over the No. 9 Kansas State Wildcats on Saturday at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater, Okla.

Kansas State squandered an opportunity to win the outright Big 12 regular-season title and accompanying No. 1 seed in the upcoming conference tournament after blowing a nine-point second half lead against Oklahoma State on Saturday.

Smart did a little bit of everything for Oklahoma State, including making a good defensive play with less than a minute left to stop Kansas State’s Angel Rodriguez from scoring. After coming down with the rebound, Smart was fouled and made a pair of free throws to give his team a three-possession lead.
Le’Bryan Nash scored 24 points on 10-of-12 shooting for the Cowboys (23-7, 13-5 Big 12), who clinched the No. 3 seed in the Big 12 Conference Tournament, which starts on Wednesday.
Rodney McGruder finished with 22 points for the Wildcats (25-6, 14-4 Big 12), who now need No. 4 Kansas to lose to Baylor on Saturday to earn a share of the regular-season conference title.
