Arizona broke their second two-game skid in a month by defeating Arizona State, 73-58, on Saturday. Guard Nick Johnson scored 17 points, including a seven-point, one-man scoring run that put the Wildcats up for good. After being down 18, the Sun Devils pulled within five midway through the second half behind backcourt mates Carrick Felix and Jahii Carson. But Johnson's spurt returned the lead to double digits, and the Wildcats poured it on in the final minutes.

Kaleb Tarczewski did the dirty work for the Wildcats, scoring nine points on perfect 4-of-4 shooting and plucking eight rebounds. Solomon Hill stuffed the stat sheet with 12 points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals. For the Sun Devils, Felix finished with 22 and Carson had 15, but the pair combined for eight turnovers, which nearly matched Arizona's team total.
With the win, Arizona clinched the No. 4 seed and a first-round bye in the Pac-12 Tournament. Arizona State, now 9-9 in conference play, will need a strong tournament to even sniff the NCAA Tournament.
