The Santa Clara Broncos got a big game from Kevin Foster as they took down the George Mason Patriots 81-73 in the first championship game of the CBI Tournament.

The Santa Clara Broncos took home the first game in a best-of-three series against the George Mason Patriots behind Kevin Foster’s 28 points in the CBI Tournament championship.


Four Broncos scored in double figures, led by Foster’s 28 points. Santa Clara jumped out to an eight-point lead at halftime as they went 10-of-24 from the three-point line in the win. Evan Roquemore chipped in 20 points as the Broncos shot 43 percent from the field and went 25-of-30 from the free-throw line.
Jonathan Arledge led the Patriots with 21 points, and Jonathan Patrick Holloway chipped in 17 points, as the Patriots closed to within three points halfway through the second half. The Broncos went on a 10-3 run to increase the lead to a comfortable margin and coasted to the win.
The CBI Championship is a best-of-three series, with the first game taking place in Santa Clara. The second game will be played at George Mason on Wednesday, April 3, and the third game (if necessary) will be played at George Mason as well.
