Class of 2014 power forward Craig Victor committed to the Arizona Wildcats at a news conference Saturday afternoon, according to Andrew Lopez of the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Sean Miller landed another big recruit.

Victor, who Rivals ranks as the No. 21 overall prospect in his class, had narrowed his list of schools down to Arizona, the LSU Tigers and the Oklahoma State Cowboys. VIctor, who is from the New Orleans area and plays AAU ball for New Orleans Elite, said LSU had made a strong push as his recruitment was winding down, Lopez said. But Victor's decision had already been made, he said.
“I could have easily been a hometown hero at LSU but I had to think just how far was that going to push me to where I want to go,” Victor said. “I went to Arizona based off of the brand and what they have done. That’s just the facts. They’ve been putting up numbers lately for the draft and have had some really good athletes. I just felt like that was the right decision to go with.”
ESPN ranks Victor as the No. 5 power forward in the class. At 6’8 and 220 pounds, he has a developed offensive game effective in the post and stretching out to around 18 feet from the basket, ESPN.com’s Dave Telep said.
Victor joins four-star point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright as the two verbal commitments in Arizona coach Sean Miller’s Class of 2014 to date.
