Class of 2014 center Myles Turner is considering eight schools, and Duke has apparently told him already that the staff hopes his stay in Durham will be short.
Duke to Myles Turner: ‘Hopefully you’ll only be in college for a year and head off to the NBA’
The 2014 big man has narrowed his list down to eight schools, and the Duke coaching staff is apparently being honest about what they expect from him.

Turner wrote the following about Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski in his blog for USA Today:
He handles me like I’m a pro. He says things like: “Myles you’re a pro and you need to carry yourself that way. You don’t need to worry about all of this media, outside stuff you need to start training your mind now. Hopefully you’ll only be in college for a year and head off to the NBA because I can see you there.”
Turner went on to say that Krzyzewski’s words gave him confidence and such praise meant a lot to him.
The senior has just started his final year of high school, and while he plans to commit in the spring, he has yet to set a final decision date. He is considering Duke and seven other schools, and hopes to visit each of them before committing. The other seven are Arizona, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Ohio State, Oklahoma State and Texas.
Turner played this summer with the Texas Select AAU team and Scout.com ranks him as the second best center in his class, behind only Jahlil Okafor.
