It’s March, which means there are bound to be some wacky results in college basketball. Seton Hall squandered a big lead in its upset bid against Villanova on Thursday but survived with a buzzer-beating jump shot to down the Wildcats, 64-63.
Big East Tournament 2014: Seton Hall upsets Villanova at the buzzer, 64-63
The Pirates will live at least one more day after beating the top-seeded Wildcats.

Thanks to Sterling Gibbs, the Pirates are alive:
That shot came shortly after Villanova's Darrun Hilliard II had given the Wildcats a 63-62 lead by knocking down a tough 12-footer. With the win, the Pirates advance to the semifinals of the Big East Tournament on Friday, where they will face either Providence or St. John's. The updated bracket:
Josh Hart scored a team-high 18 points for Villanova on 7-of-9 shooting. He also grabbed eight rebounds. Thanks in part to his efforts, the Wildcats erased a 13-point second half deficit to set up the final-minute drama.
Big man Gene Teague led Seton Hall with 19 points on 7-of-9 shooting and added 12 rebounds. Patrik Auda and Gibbs also scored in double figures.
