Tournament darling Michigan State coasted in a win over Delaware, beating the Blue Hens 93-78. Tom Izzo’s team was wildly efficient on offense, shooting 52.6 percent both from the field overall and from three-point range.

Michigan State advances to the Round of 32 with a solid effort against the Blue Hens.
Adreian Payne was the spark plug for MSU, scoring a Michigan State NCAA Tournament-record 41 points. Wearing Michigan State's 1979 throwback uniform, the Spartans' center finished the game 4-of-5 from behind the arc on his way to breaking Greg Kelser's 35-year-old mark. Fellow potential lottery pick Gary Harris contributed 10 points in the win.
Delaware was led by guard Devon Saddler, who finished with 21 points. The Blue Hens kept themselves in the game with the three-ball, hitting eight of their 20 attempts from downtown. Davon Usher chipped in 20 points for Delaware.
Michigan State will face 12-seed Harvard in the next round. The Crimson upset No. 5 Cincinnati in their opening game. The Spartans are looking to reach the Final Four for the first time since 2010. If Tom Izzo fails to reach that mark this season, Payne and Keith Appling will be the first graduated players in his tenure to not make the final weekend of the Tournament.
