March Madness 2014 TV schedule: Elite Eight gets underway on Saturday

Opposites have attracted each other in the first day of the Elite Eight.

The Regional Final games are set. The final games of March Madness are upon us with the Elite Eight beginning Saturday.

In a celebration of opposites, the first game has the biggest Cinderella of the Tournament, while the other has a whole lot of chalk on its hands. The South Region has the No. 1 Florida Gators vs. the No. 11 Dayton Flyers. The West Region's championship game pits the Arizona Wildcats against the Wisconsin Badgers, a No. 1 seed and a No. 2 seed, respectively.

The opposite featured in the first game, Florida vs. Dayton, is obvious in the seeding. After the Tennessee Volunteers fell to the Michigan Wolverines in the Sweet Sixteen, Dayton became the lowest seed left in the tournament, and the last remaining Cinderella. Florida is the No. 1 overall seed in the Big Dance and hasn't lost since the second day of December.

Arizona and Wisconsin is more of a contrast of styles than a contrast of backgrounds. Wisconsin is ranked as the fourth-best offense in the country by Ken Pomeroy’s rankings, which is odd because Bo Ryan squads have typically thrived on defense. This is actually the worst of all Ryan-led defenses at Wisconsin, though it is still an above-average team on defense. Arizona serves as its foil with the best defense in the entire country, liking to pack it in and not allow anybody inside.

Here is the TV schedule. All times are Eastern. Games can also be streamed via March Madness Live.

No. 1 Florida vs. No. 11 Dayton, 6:09 p.m., TBS

No. 1 Arizona vs. No. 2 Wisconsin, 8:49 p.m., TBS
