Adreian Payne destroys worlds, Marcus Lewis wins College Slam Dunk contest

The college Slam Dunk Contest was Thursday night and GAHHHHHH IT WAS GREAT.

SB Nation 2014 Final Four Preview

This year’s NBA Dunk Contest was terrible. This year’s college Slam Dunk contest was INCREDIBLE.

Adreian Payne is 6’10. He has a 38-inch vertical leap. He shoots 42 percent from three. He’s incredibly strong.

I could tell you all the individual reasons Payne is a monstrous basketball cyborg, or I could just show you this Vine:

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Payne wouldn’t win the competition -- he’d peter out in the semifinals while Marcus Lewis of Eastern Kentucky would get the W -- but the power, height, and athleticism needed to pull off that dunk is absolutely presposterous.

Oh, Lewis wasn’t bad neither:

Here was Payne's second dunk, a two-balls-one-is-a-windmill-woah-woah-woah dunk:

And another ridiculous effort from Louis:

Oh, and here's Cory Jefferson, a 6'9 guy dunking from the free throw line:

Cleanthony Early, on the other hand... well... not so much:

Faildunk

COME ON, MAN! THE OTHER GUY JUMPED OVER STANDING-UP PEOPLE. YOU DIDN’T JUMP OVER SITTING-DOWN PEOPLE.
