Arizona vs. Oregon State final score: Beavers upset No. 7 Wildcats at home

The Wildcats suffered just their second loss of the year, losing by two in Corvallis.

No. 7 Arizona became the third top 10 team to lose on Sunday when the Wildcats couldn’t connect on a shot late and lost, 58-56, on the road at Oregon State. Arizona joined No. 2 Duke and No. 4 Wisconsin as top 10 teams to lose.

Oregon State took a four-point lead with 1:33 to play, only to have Gabe York cut the lead to a single point on Arizona's next possession. The game was tied, 56-56, until Langston Morris-Walker made a layup with 28 seconds to play to give Oregon State a two-point lead. T.J. McConnell had a chance to tie the game in the final seconds, but his shot missed and Oregon State held on for the upset.

The Wildcats and Beavers played a back-and-forth game with neither team able to create much separation. Both teams traded the lead several times with the biggest lead of the night just four points. It was a tale of two halves -- the defenses prevailed during the first 20 minutes with Arizona taking a slim 21-20 lead into the break. The teams found more of an offensive rhythm in the second half as the lead changed hands multiple times.

Morris-Walker led Oregon State with 12 points while Rondae Hollis-Jefferson paced the Wildcats with 14 points. He did most of his damage at the free throw line, where he scored 10 points on 13 attempts. With Arizona's loss, Utah is the only team still undefeated in Pac-12 play.
