Notre Dame survives against NC State in overtime

Notre Dame overcame an 18-point first-half deficit, nearly hit a game-winning halfcourt shot at the end of regulation, and then held on for an 81-78 win at NC State thanks to this final sequence:

It appeared as though Trevor Lacey’s final shot did not leave his hands before the clock hit zero, which probably makes it better for NC State that it didn’t go down. It doesn’t make it all right ... just better.
