Kevin Ollie got a technical foul for throwing papers, and it ruined UConn’s comeback

Maryland led UConn 38-22 at halftime on Tuesday night, but the Huskies came roaring back in the second half to make it a game. Daniel Hamilton hit a three-pointer with 2:44 left to cap a 13-2 UConn run and cut the Maryland lead to three. Then all hell broke loose.

On the inbounds pass after Hamilton's three, UConn freshman Jalen Adams was whistled for a foul on Melo Trimble. Huskies coach Kevin Ollie responded by throwing a stack of papers on the scores table onto the floor, and the refs gave him a technical foul for it.

UConn was pretty much done after that. Trimble ended up sinking three free throws that sparked a 9-2 Maryland run to close the game. Terrapins survived, 76-66.
