NCAA Tournament 2015: Schedule for March Madness First Four games

Everything you need to know about Round 1 of the NCAA Tournament.

SB Nation 2015 March Madness Bracket

March Madness is finally here. The 68 teams that will be competing in the 2015 NCAA Tournament were announced on Sunday and the first round is just around the corner.

Round 1, also known as the “First Four,” will take place Tuesday and Wednesday night in Dayton, Ohio. The games will feature eight teams — the four lowest ranked conference champions and the four lowest at-large bids. The four winners will advance to the Round of 64.

The first game will take place Tuesday at 6:40 p.m. ET and feature the Manhattan Jaspers and Hampton Pirates. The winner will earn the No. 16 seed in the Midwest Region and the right to play No. 1 Kentucky in the round of 64.

Tuesday, 9:40 p.m. ET: No. 11 BYU Cougars vs. No. 11 Ole Miss Rebels (winner plays No. 6 Xavier Musketeers)

Wednesday, 6:40 p.m. ET: No. 16 North Florida Ospreys vs. No. 16 Robert Morris Colonials (winner plays No. 1 Duke Blue Devils)

Wednesday, 9:40 p.m. ET: No. 11 Boise State Broncos vs. No. 11 Dayton Flyers (winner plays No. 6 Providence Friars)

All the games will air on truTV and be available on the March Madness Live stream and app.

The First Four round was added to the tournament in 2011 and has been taking place in Dayton ever since. That year VCU won its opening round game against USC and advanced all the way to the Final Four, becoming just the third 11 seed in NCAA Tournament history to do so. In 2012 South Florida played in the tournament’s opening round and advanced to the round of 32. Last year Tennessee made it to the Sweet 16 after knocking off Iowa in Round 1.
