Indiana vs. Wichita State, NCAA Tournament 2015: Time, TV schedule and live stream
A potential showdown between Wichita State and Kansas looms in the third round. Meanwhile, Tom Crean’s job security continues to be questioned in Bloomington.
The Wichita State Shockers and Indiana Hoosiers will meet on Friday in what could be one of the most intriguing matchups in the Midwest region. Whoever wins will potentially get a date with Kansas on Sunday.
The Shockers are as strong as ever, despite getting a relatively low seed. Led by the duo of Ron Baker and Fred VanVleet, Wichita State stormed through the Missouri Valley with a 17-1 conference record in the regular season. Their quest for another championship fell short when they fell to Illinois State in the conference tournament, but it's been another excellent season for Greg Marshall's squad.
Things are a different story at Indiana. The Hoosiers stumbled down the stretch, losing nine of their final 14 games and putting even more pressure on Tom Crean. Despite leading the Hoosiers to two straight Sweet 16 appearances not too long ago, Crean remains a polarizing figure in Bloomington, and losing to teams like Eastern Washington and Northwestern have not helped. Crean might survive another season, but a second-round tournament loss will give him almost no margin for error.
