Winner gets a Sweet 16 appearance and a shot at either Kansas or Wichita State.

Notre Dame has been fast and flashy offensively between star guard Jerian Grant and the addition of a solid perimeter defender and penetrating guard in Demetrius Jackson. Coming off an ACC Championship run, the Fighting Irish, though they were pushed to the wire against Northeastern, are poised to make a run in the tournament and could dismiss some of the notions against their team in postseason play.
Butler has a different story. After going to back-to-back national championship games, the Bulldogs have been remodeled under head coach Chris Holtmann, after their original coach took a medical leave of absence. The Bulldogs are a talented defensive squad that rebounds very well. Between Andrew Chrabascz and Kameron Woods, they grab 25.2 percent of all available offensive rebounds, eighth in the NCAA.
A win for Mike Brey would, again, dismiss any quarrels with his teams going on respectable postseason runs. For Holtmann, it would be the continued national rebirth of Butler basketball.
