Indiana vs. Kentucky 2016 live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch March Madness online

It’s a monster game in the second round.

The Indiana-Kentucky rivalry is a relic of the past, as the teams haven’t played since the 2011-12 season. That game marked the ascension of Indiana basketball, and it was the first loss of Kentucky’s national championship run. It also featured one of the best shots of the past decade.

Now, Kentucky and Indiana meet again, this time in the round of 32 in Des Moines.

It’s a shame that these teams are meeting in the round of 32, because both of them are really Final Four good. Indiana is just a No. 5 seed, despite winning the Big Ten regular season title outright. The Hoosiers have been great down the stretch of the season, beating Purdue and Maryland, and sweeping Iowa. They have one of the best offenses in the country, led by point guard Yogi Ferrell, center Thomas Bryant, great shooter Nick Zeisloft and newly dominant forward OG Anunoby.

But Kentucky’s offense is just as good. The Wildcats have one of the best backcourts in the country, with point guard Tyler Ulis (who just set the Kentucky single-season assist record in a first round win against Stony Brook) and Jamal Murray, whom KenPom ranks as the 10th-best player in the country this year. The UK frontcourt hasn’t lived up to expectations under Skal Labissiere and Alex Poythress, but it was dominant against Stony Brook, setting an NCAA Tournament record with 15 (!!!) blocks.

Two dominant offenses? Two lost rivals? It’s a shame this game won’t take place much later in the NCAA Tournament, but it should be an outstanding game.
