The most exciting day of the college basketball season is finally here: Selection Sunday. This is the day the 68-team bracket is revealed, and it’s the start of one of America’s finest sporting events.
Selection Sunday 2017: Time and live TV schedule for March Madness selection show
This year’s show will be 90 minutes, as opposed to 2016’s two-hour mammoth.
Check out our full NCAA bracket, updating live throughout March Madness. You can find a printable bracket here.
Teams like Syracuse and USC will have to wait patiently to hear their fate while on the bubble. Meanwhile, we’ll also get to learn who the No. 1 seeds are. UNC, Villanova, Gonzaga, and Kansas appear to be strong contenders for that honor.
Two more teams that could potentially grab a No. 1 seed are Duke and Arizona. The Blue Devils won four games in four days to claim the ACC tournament title, while Arizona knocked off UCLA and Oregon to win the Pac-12 tournament title.
One change from 2016 to the selection show is its actual length. A year ago, the show was extended to two full hours, which resulted in a whole 77 minutes going by before the full bracket was revealed, according to the New York Times.
Even worse, someone leaked the bracket on Twitter before CBS even got around to releasing all of it. Now the show will only be 90 minutes, so hopefully we’ll get to see the full bracket a lot sooner.
Find a pool, fill out your bracket, and most importantly: Take Thursday and Friday off of work. March Madness is here and we can’t wait.
