The Louisville Cardinals have some athletes on their team. Here’s one of the best, forward Deng Adel, picking up some speed in transition and then annihilating a basketball, a rim, and some of his opponents’ souls, all at once:
Louisville’s Deng Adel dunked Michigan into Earth’s core
This is a dunk and a half.
This is a cool highlight, obviously, but it’s also terrific basketball.
It looks like Louisville has numbers, but really, there are two Michigan defenders back against two Cardinals. Another few players are trailing, but there’s not time to incorporate them into the break.
Louisville guard Donovan Mitchell puts the ball in Adel’s wheelhouse, and now the play is a matter of how high and far Adel can jump. At that point, this isn’t a game the Wolverines are suited to win.
Michigan’s D.J. Wilson is a good athlete, but he’s totally helpless to do anything about a soaring Adel in transition. Once Adel cocks back his right hand, this fight’s over and Wilson’s on a poster.
