The coach that missed the NCAA tournament with Ben Simmons is getting canned.

LSU still has to face Mississippi State in the opening round of the conference tournament on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Without a win, this will be the last game Jones coaches for the Tigers.
Jones put himself on the hot seat by missing the NCAA tournament last season with Ben Simmons, the eventual No. 1 pick in the NBA draft. Jones has just one NCAA tournament appearance and zero NCAA tournament wins to show for his five years as head coach of the Tigers.
Jones amassed a 90-71 record during his time in Baton Rouge. LSU reportedly wants a big name coach to fill the position, according to ESPN’s Jeff Goodman.
