The 2017 SEC men’s basketball tournament ended without much of a surprise — the Kentucky Wildcats are the champions yet again.
SEC Tournament 2017: Bracket updates, schedule, and live scores
Kentucky has earned their 30th SEC championship.

The Wildcats earned their 30th SEC tournament championship with a 82-65 victory over Arkansas. This is Kentucky’s third title in a row.
Last year’s tournament final between the Wildcats and Texas A&M Aggies was a riotous, back-and-forth affair, but this year’s championship bracket felt much more like a foregone conclusion.
John Calipari’s roster is studded with blue chip talent from top to bottom, highlighted by the standout performance of Malik Monk, a true freshman guard who’s averaging over 21 points per game this season. Monk is flanked by fellow freshman De’Aaron Fox, who suffered a minor injury last month but doesn’t appear slowed by it now. Sophomore guard Isaiah Briscoe has done a masterful job, as well.
The format
All 14 SEC teams are seeded into a standard bracket, with the top four seeds receiving byes into the quarterfinal round. The bottom four seeds will battle on opening day for the right to advance to the second round on Thursday. The finals are at noon ET on Sunday.
