Sean Miller has scored another commitment in the class of 2018, and the player comes with famous bloodlines. Shareef O’Neal, the son of NBA Hall of Fame inductee Shaquille O’Neal, picked Arizona on Wednesday morning.

O’Neal is finishing his junior year of high school and will be a main attraction on Nike’s EYBL circuit this spring and summer. O’Neal will play for Cal Supreme alongside Bol Bol, the son of former NBA star Manute Bol.

O’Neal could be a fast-riser this summer. While he’s in the 30s of most rankings, Rivals bumped him up to No. 16 overall in its class of 2018 update this week.

O’Neal is listed at 6’9, 200 pounds. He’s Arizona’s second commitment in the class, joining forward Emmanuel Akot, who is ranked No. 9 overall by Rivals.

This continues Miller’s hot streak on the recruiting trail. Arizona’s 2017 recruiting class was one of the best in the country, headlined by top-two center DeAndre Ayton.
