The American Athletic Conference tournament may still be a few days away, but the madness is already getting starting between the UCF Knights and the No. 11 Wichita State Shockers.
UCF banks in buzzer-beating 3-point shot to force OT with Wichita State
The madness is already starting in the American Athletic

With about 11.5 seconds left in the ballgame Thursday night, UCF was down, 66-63, to Wichita State and needed a three-point shot to send the game into overtime. Golden Knights guard B.J. Taylor took an off-balanced three-pointer with 7.5 seconds left, which clanked off the rim and into a mini rugby scrum on the floor.
While players were falling on the floor, the ball somehow made its way to UCF guard A.J. Davis who banged through a three-pointer on two Wichita State defenders to tie the game at 66-66 with 0.7 seconds left on the clock.
The play was not perfect by any means nor was the execution leading up to it. However, it is March so expect the unexpected to happen.
Despite the heroics from Davis, the Shockers held on for a 75-71 victory in overtime.
