Florida State coach Leonard Hamilton on terse Dana Jacobson interview: ‘I wish I could have done better’

This was the most awkward interview of the NCAA tournament.

Florida State coach Leonard Hamilton has apologized after a contentious interview with reporter Dana Jacobson following the Seminoles’ Elite Eight loss to Michigan on Saturday night.

Jacobson asked Hamilton why the Seminoles didn’t foul down four with 11 seconds left. It’s a fair question and something a lot of people were talking about after the game, but Hamilton treated it with hostility. Here’s the video:

Michigan is going to the Final Four to face Loyola-Chicago. FSU’s season is over, but they had a heck of a run in this tournament.
