Kara Lawson, Rebecca Lobo were STUNNED at Notre Dame’s game-winner over UConn

Stick around for the great ending, too.

Notre Dame defeated UConn in a wild ending thanks to a game-winning shot by Arike Ogunbowale. The Fighting Irish shocked the nation, much like Mississippi State did last year when they took down UConn in the Final Four. In fact, the game-winning shots from Morgan William and Ogunbowale eerily resembled each other.

But déjà vu existed at ESPN’s announcers table as well. Remember when Doris Burke stayed inhumanely calm during Mississippi State vs. UConn? It was Rebecca Lobo and Kara Lawson’s turns to do the same, while Adam Amin stood up and yelled with that perfect call. Lawson was the most calm of the three, even calmer than Burke was.

The best part is at the end, though. Amin goes silent and lets the arena noise take over. He quickly checks his phone, while Lobo and Lawson glance at each other in amazement. An awestruck Amin collapses onto Lawson’s shoulder, Lawson commends him on the great call, and all three of them share an adorable fist bump. Excellent job, y’all.
