Michael Porter Jr. is back. The top-ranked freshman and potential top-five NBA draft pick will take the court for Missouri on Thursday in the SEC Tournament, coach Cuonzo Martin has confirmed.
Michael Porter Jr. to make return from injury for Missouri in SEC Tournament
The top-ranked recruit will finally take the court for the Tigers.

Porter has played exactly two minutes this year before getting pulled in the season opener against Iowa State with a back injury. Porter had microdiscectomy surgery of the L3-L4 spinal discs and sidelined the entire season up until this point.
There has been rampant speculation Porter could return this season after initially being ruled out for the year. The Tigers have been a pleasant surprise without him, sitting at 20-11 overall and 10-8 in the SEC. Mizzou is pegged as a No. 7 seed in our most recent Bracketology projection.
Porter was a consensus top-three recruit entering the season, finishing No. 2 in the RSCI. The 6’10 combo forward brings outside-in scoring ability and elite athleticism to the Tigers on the brink of the NCAA tournament.
