Angel Reese got dunked over at McDonald’s All-American contest, and her face was priceless

A.J. Dybantsa cleared Angel Reese with ease with this dunk.

There’s a case that the talent at the top of the 2025 boys McDonald’s All-American Game is the best in the history of the event, and BYU commit A.J. Dybantsa is a big reason why.

NBA scouts have been all-in on Dybantsa for years. At 6’9 with a 7’1 wingspan, the Boston native is an explosive athlete with a rare combination of speed and power at his size while also showcasing a sweet jumper. Dybantsa joins Kansas commit Darryn Peterson and Duke commit Cameron Boozer to form a ridiculously good ‘big three’ atop the 2026 NBA Draft. It feels like NBA teams would rather have the No. 3 pick in 2026 than the No. 1 pick in many years.

Dybantsa has thrown down a double between-the-legs dunk in a high school game, so he’s clearly a high-flyer. It put his explosiveness on display again at the McDonald’s All-American Game dunk contest, and brought out WNBA star Angel Reese to prove a point.

Watch Dybantsa jump over Reese for one of the best dunks of the night.

Reese is listed at 6’3. It’s no easy task to jump over someone that tall, but Dybantsa cleared her with just a little push-off.

Look at Reese’s face as the high school star was dunking over her:

Reese of course has a big endorsement deal with McDonald’s. Did Dybantsa and Reese practice this one? Did Reese just trust him to pull it off? It drew all 10s from the judges either way.

Somehow, this wasn’t enough to win the McDonald’s dunk contest. Baylor commit Tounde Yessoufou won the McDonald’s All-American Game dunk contest with some great throw-downs of his own. You can watch the whole thing here.

Reese showed big improvements in Unrivaled this winter after a solid WNBA rookie season. We can’t wait to see what she does for the Chicago Sky in year two. Dybantsa’s freshman season should be cinema at BYU. The future of hoops is in good hands.
