Eldridge Massington looking at LSU, UCLA, Alabama, others

A consensus four-star prospect ranked as the no. 23 wide receiver nationally and the no. 25 player in the state of Texas, Massington is currently trying to work his way back from an ACL injury he sustained last summer during a camp at Tennessee that caused him to miss his entire senior season. Prior to Massington’s commitment to UCLA in the middle of December, the 6-3, 200-pounder held offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Baylor, Colorado, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and many others.

Massington was pledged to USC until December, when they told him that they did not have room for him to enroll early, sparking a wild two-week stretch that saw him visit Alabama, UCLA, and Arizona State before settling on the Bruins.

Massington had been planning on announcing his decision Saturday, but apparently did not need the extra time to know that he wanted to become a Bruin.

Since decommitting from USC nearly two weeks ago, 2013 West Mesquite (TX) wide receiver Eldridge Massington has been a busy man -- he’s taken official visits to Alabama, Arizona State, and UCLA since then.

The first trip was to Tuscaloosa to take in the Crimson Tide program, a journey that had a serious impact on Massington, who said that the Tide have been a program high on his list since early in his recruitment.
