National Signing Day 2012: Stanford, Auburn, FSU Among Big Winners

National Signing Day 2012 has been in full swing for nearly 12 hours now and many schools are coming up roses with extensive classes of commits.

The Stanford Cardinal in particular seem well-prepared for losing some key components of their offensive line to the 2012 NFL Draft. They have picked up no fewer than three five-star offensive linemen in order to protect whichever quarterback they'll hoping will become the next Andrew Luck. These new linemen include Kyle Murphy, a 6'6", 280-pound player from San Clemente who was ranked as the third-best OL in this year's class. Perhaps even better, the commitment keeps Murphy from heading to Pac-12 rival USC.

Speaking of top offensive linemen, the Auburn Tigers scored a bit of a coup with the acquisition of top offensive tackle Avery Young. Young had no shortage of SEC teams to choose from. Among his suitors were Miami, Florida and Georgia, but the four-star recruit -- whose father and brother both played in the NFL -- ultimately chose Auburn.

The Florida St. Seminoles continue to come up big and put together what is looking to be one of the dominant offenses of the near future. In addition to picking up top defensive tackle Eddie Goldman, they also snagged top cornerback prospect Ronald Darby.
