Texas A&M Commit Reggie Chevis: “I Want To Bring Back The Wrecking Crew”

It wasn’t exactly that a secret that 2013 Sharpstown (TX) linebacker Reggie Chevis was heavily favoring the Texas A&M Aggies prior to committing on June 12th. In Austin for the upcoming World Championships, the big, athletic linebacker spoke with SB Nation about his decision.
Wearing a backwards A&M hat and Aggie sweatpants, Chevis’ attire made his college choice clear. It’s a decision that he knew he would make for some time before making it official.

Reggie Chevis It hasn’t been much of a secret in Texas A&M recruiting circles in recent weeks that the Texas A&M Aggies were in outstanding position to get 2013 Sharpstown (TX) linebacker Reggie Chevis. After all, his top five released roughly two weeks ago included Alabama in the second spot, a school that had not and has not offered the 6-3, 240-pound prospect. Other schools on the list had never received visits.
There was little shock, then, when the commitment of Chevis to A&M broke during the early afternoon on Tuesday, as broken by Taylor Hamm of GigEm247.

With three SEC teams in the top five for Houston (TX) Sharpstown linebacker Reggie Chevis, the odds are high that the 6-3, 240-pounder will end up playing his college football in that conference, especially since Texas A&M and Alabama lead, perhaps by a significant margin.
