Nico Falah Commits To USC Over UCLA: Trojans Land California Lineman

California offensive tackle recruit Nico Falah stays home and will attend USC.

Nico Falah, a top offensive line recruit, committed to the USC Trojans on Wednesday night. Falah stars for St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower, Calif. He is a consensus four-star recruit and rates as the 25th-best lineman nationally, according to a composite of the four major recruiting services. Falah chose USC over the Oregon Ducks and UCLA Bruins, among other top BCS offers.

Falah has a very good frame at 6-foot-5 and 270 pounds, and the length coaches covet at the tackle position.

Falah primarily uses his quickness to overwhelm opponents in the run game. He can slide to pick up defenders a gap away. Falah also climbs well to the second level, showing awareness and taking good angles to cut off linebackers.

Like the vast majority of offensive line recruits, Falah will need a year or two of development before being able to perform against the top BCS competition faced by USC.

Falah is the 13th commitment of USC’s 2013 recruiting class. Due to limited scholarships -- the Trojans have either 15 or 18, depending on interpretation -- the class is almost complete.
