Reuben Foster Met With High School Officials, Not NCAA, According To Reports

Reuben Foster is creating quite a buzz in Alabama these days, whether the particular fan screams War Eagle or Roll Tide on Saturdays. The five-star recruit and No. 1 linebacker prospect nationwide switched his commitment from Alabama to the Auburn Tigers in July.

Recently, he’s been talking to officials of the Alabama High School Athletic Association, not the NCAA as had been previously reported, to clarify his senior-year transfer from a high school in Troup County, GA to Auburn High School in Alabama, according to 247sports.com.

However, all has come up clean when the question was asked if Foster and his family were assisted by Auburn in the move.

“They [the NCAA] are talking with Reuben and me,” Foster’s mother, Anita Paige, previously told the Atlanta Journal Constitution. “They want to make sure there was nothing illegal done to get us down here, or anything like that. They want to make sure there wasn’t a college booster involved.”

Paige then continued, spelling out that no wrongdoing had occured.

“No, there was not a booster involved or anybody from the college involved. There was nothing illegal.”

Foster is the prize of Gene Chizik’s incoming class and undoubtedly a sweet steal from the Crimson Tide.
