Five-star defensive tackle prospect Eddie Vanderdoes asserted that his recruitment is still opening after taking an official visit to USC this weekend. He will be taking a trip to Notre Dame this upcoming weekend.
Eddie Vanderdoes did not recommit to USC; visiting Notre Dame next
Eddie Vanderdoes was initially reported to have recommitted to USC after visiting the school this weekend, but the five-star defensive tackle recruit confirmed he’s still looking elsewhere.
Reports had been spreading that Vanderdoes was once again off the market, but the 6’3, 310-pounder confirmed he was still looking at other schools via Twitter:
Great time at SC this weekend!

Vanderdoes initially committed to USC in July, picking the Trojans over Oregon and LSU, but decommitted in late December, citing trips he took elsewhere and with a different list of teams he’s considering. The Placer, California native has also taken a trip to UCLA, and will still be visiting Notre Dame and Alabama in the next few weeks. Vanderdoes is a consensus five-star recruit, universally considered one of the top five in his class at defensive tackle.
He’s not the only former USC recruit visiting the Fighting Irish this upcoming weekend, either:
In kind of a weird twist, former #USC commits Kylie Fitts, Eddie Vanderdoes and Sebastian Larue will all visit #NotreDame next weekend
