The Placer defensive tackle was highly sought after by numerous schools. Vanderdoes had 39 offers on National Signing Day, including schools like Alabama, UCLA, USC and Washington (the schools where Vanderdoes officially visited).

At 6’3, 300 pounds, rated five stars, and by some the top defensive tackle nationally, Vanderdoes has offers from every major school, and has narrowed his list to USC (to which he was once committed), UCLA, Washington, Notre Dame and Alabama.

Five-star defensive tackle prospect Eddie Vanderdoes asserted that his recruitment is still opening after taking an official visit to USC this weekend. He will be taking a trip to Notre Dame this upcoming weekend.
Reports had been spreading that Vanderdoes was once again off the market, but the 6’3, 310-pounder confirmed he was still looking at other schools via Twitter:

At 6’3, 310 pounds, Vanderdoes is rated as the No. 1 defensive tackle prospect in the Class of 2013 by 247Sports and ESPN, while Rivals lists him as a four-star and the No. 4 player at his position.
