Georgia football recruiting: Reuben Foster, Montravius Adams, Alvin Kamara, Davin Bellamy visiting

The Bulldogs will be making a late push for some of the best in the 2013 freshman class.

Georgia is expecting to welcome a nice group of official visitors this weekend as it tries to wrap up its 2013 recruiting class. There will be four prospects on campus, according to 247 Sports.

They’ll be looking to sway the a group of recruits that is currently uncommitted or committed elsewhere. One such recruit is Montravius Adams, a consensus 5-star defensive tackle from Dooly County High School in Vienna, Ga, who is currently uncommitted. Adams recently visited Alabama and Clemson and does not have any future visits planned at this time.

Bud Elliott says:

Many believe Clemson leads for Adams, but Georgia has the advantage of being the in-state team, and will surely appeal to Adams’ mother with the distance factor.

Georgia will also look to convince Rueben Foster, a consensus 5-star linebacker from Auburn High School in Auburn Alabama. Roster has visited Alabama and Washington in the last two weeks, and will take the short trip to Auburn for a visit on Feb. 1. Foster remains undecided, so the Bulldogs will be looking to make a push before the Tigers get the last say.

Bud Elliott says:

Foster is a tough read at this point. Alabama, Georgia and even Auburn, to where he was once committed after moving from Georgia, have a shot. Recruiting fans will remember that Foster has a tattoo of Auburn’s logo on his bicep.

Alvin Kamara out of Norcross High School in Norcross, Ga. will also be making the trip out to Athens. The consensus 4-star all-purpose back met with Alabama last week. Kamara is choosing between the Crimson Tide and his home state Bulldogs, and he has no more visits scheduled.

Bud Elliott says:

Kamara is down to Georgia and Alabama, and really isn’t tipping his hand at this point. He’s an extremely versatile back with excellent hands and reminds me a bit of Marshall Faulk (in style, not necessarily in talent). There will be one more recruit headed to Georgia over the weekend, and he is the only one that is currently committed. Davin Bell, a consensus 4-star defensive end, pledged to Florida State back in August. He continues to take visits, having spent last weekend in Tennessee. The Bulldogs will be trying to convince Bell that Athens has more to offer than Tallahassee.

Bud Elliott says:

Don’t count out schools other than Florida State for Bellamy. He really likes Tennessee and is also warming to Georgia. Bellamy is very interested in playing time (though he should probably take a year to bulk up), and as such, is quite weary of depth charts.
