Four-star quarterback prospect Cooper Bateman has enrolled at the University of Alabama, meaning he can begin practicing with the team this spring. Bateman is rated as one of the top pro-style quarterback prospects in the 2013 recruiting class, and is a consensus top-100 overall prospect.
Quarterback recruit Cooper Bateman enrolled at Alabama
The four-star quarterback prospect from Utah is enrolled at Alabama, and will take part in spring practice with the Crimson Tide this year.
Bateman chose Alabama over a host of other teams, including Auburn, Florida, and LSU. He chose to leave his home state of Utah, spurning offers from BYU, Utah and Utah State. He joins a crowded quarterback stable in Tuscaloosa, headed by soon-to-be three-year starter A.J. McCarron. A redshirt year could be in the cards for Bateman, although he could jump some other quarterbacks with a strong showing in spring practice.
