Under Armour All-America Game halftime update

Matthew Thomas opened the second quarter action with an interception of a screen pass from team Nitro.

Team Highlight, led by Florida running back commitment Kelvin Taylor (son of Gator and Jaguar great Fred Taylor), drove in to the red zone. Alabama commitment Cooper Bateman then hit former Alabama tight end commitment Josh McNiel on a touchdown pass to put team Highlight ahead 10-0..

Team Nitro followed with a long pass from Brice Ramsey to Ohio State commit Jalin Marshall, but the drive stalled. Kicker Ryan Santoro made a long field goal. Santoso is the biggest kicker in the history of the Under Armour All-America Game.

The second quarter was also notable for the enormous hit that uncommitted linebacker Matthew Thomas, of Miami (Fla.) Booker T. Washington laid on Michigan QB recruit Shane Morris.

Kicker Ryan Santoso missed a field goal to end the second half, and team Highlight leads team Nitro 10-3.
