Montae Nicholson, a four-star safety out of Gateway High School in Pennsylvania, is expected to commit to either Florida State, Michigan State, Oregon, Pittsburgh or Virginia Tech on Friday. He officially visited all five schools during the season, and there doesn’t appear to be a heavy favorite heading into decision day.
Montae Nicholson to commit Friday: Where will the four-star safety land?
Nicholson received interest from schools across the country. Will he stay close to home and attend Pittsburgh or leave the nest for another school?

Nicholson is rated by 24/7Sports as the 13th-best safety in the 2014 class. They also view him as the 184th-best prospect in the class, making him one of the best players from the state of Pennsylvania. Here are some highlights of Nicholson in action:
Nicholson received interest from schools in just about every BCS conference. What his final decision will likely come down to is whether or not he’s ready to leave home; a majority of 24/7Sports’ writers think he’ll stay in Pennsylvania and play for the Pitt Panthers, though it is interesting that Virginia Tech got his fifth and final visit in mid-November. And given all of the winning Florida State, Michigan State and Oregon have done the last few seasons, it would seem silly to count them out in Nicholson’s recruitment.
