The Nebraska Cornhuskers are known for having physical rushing attacks, and added a physical running back who fits their blue-collar mold when Katy (Texas) running back Adam Taylor signed and faxed in his letter of intent on Wednesday.

The ‘Huskers were happy to take the star running back from Texas state power Katy after the LSU Tigers declined to do so months before.
A consensus four-star prospect who helped his stock with a dominant performance in the 5A state championship in 2012, Taylor is a 6’1, 210-pound bruiser who may be the most physically impressive back in the 2013 Texas class. Ranked as a top-20 running back nationally, Taylor held offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Colorado, Illinois, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Stanford before selecting Nebraska in November.
Taylor recovered from a season-ending ACL injury sustained in the first game of his junior season to turn in a monster senior season -- 332 carries for 2,755 yards and 44 touchdowns.
Known as a downhill running back who has good speed for his size, Taylor doesn’t project as a home-run threat in college, but rather has a back who can handle 30 or more carries a game and will run through arm tackles. He’s a patient runner with good vision who is at his best when running between the tackles.

Recruitment timeline: Taylor attempted to commit to LSU in May, but the Tigers told him that his offer was not committable. HIs recruitment ended in November with his pledge to Nebraska.
