Taj Williams to Indiana: 2013 four-star boosts Big Ten class

After sorting out his academics, Williams decided to head to the Hoosier State to play college football.

Brian Spurlock-US PRESSWIRE

Signing day came and went without star Tallahassee, FL (Lincoln High School) wide receiver and safety Taj Williams putting pen on paper and signing with any college football team. Williams was reportedly waiting on his academic situation to clear, but made it known Monday night he’s on his way to join the Hoosiers.

He’s ranked by recruiting services as one of the two or three best players in Indiana’s 2013 class.

Williams never gave a verbal commitment to any school during the recruiting process before making his choice Monday night. He’s ranked as the composite 244th best player in the nation by 247 Sports in the 2013 recruiting class and given a four-star ranking.

Ratings: Four-star and 37th best receiver in 2013 class by 247 Sports with 244th composite ranking

Vitals: 6’3.5 tall, 166 lbs.

Other offers: Louisville, Clemson, Kentucky, Auburn, Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Florida State among others.
