Inside linebacker Deshaun Davis from Mobile (Ala.) Vigor High School has committed to play for Gus Malzahn and the Auburn Tigers, according to multiple outlets. The 2014 prospect also holds offers from Clemson, Florida State, Kentucky, LSU, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas Tech, UCLA and Northern Illinois.
4-star Deshaun Davis commits to Auburn football
Auburn has landed its fifth commitment of the 2014 class, and he has plenty of suitors.

Davis is rated as a four-star prospect by 247 Sports, which pegs him as the 15th-best inside linebacker in his class. Scout gives him a three-star rating and slots Davis as No. 30 among 2014 middle linebackers. Rivals also has Davis as a three star at this time.
This is the fifth commitment of the class for Auburn. It has already received pledges from tight end Chris Laye, guard Joshua Casher, running back Kamryn Pettway and punter Jimmy Hutchinson. The composite rankings at 247 Sports have Auburn at No. 31 overall nationally early in the process. That is likely to change, as the Tigers checked in at No. 13 in 2013.
