Jamarco Jones commits to Ohio State

Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes have picked up their 14th commit of the 2014 cycle in four-star Ill. offensive tackle Jamarco Jones.

Bud Elliott, SB Nation

Ohio State has secured the commitment of consensus four-star offensive tackle Jamarco Jones. At 6’5, 290 pounds, Jones is generally considered among the top ten offensive line recruits in the nation in the 2014 class.

Jones, a Chicago (Ill.) De La Salle Institute product, went with Ohio State over Michigan State and Michigan, but he holds offers from a host of the nation’s top programs, including Arkansas, Notre Dame, Florida, Florida State, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Wisconsin, amongst a number of others.

Jones’ commitment gives the Buckeyes 14 commits in their 2014 class, as of late June. Their currently rated ninth in the nation according to the 247Composite rankings, and second in the Big Ten behind Michigan.
