Ohio State has had the top-ranked class in the Big Ten every year since 2011, and that looks unlikely to change this season as the Urban Meyer train has the Buckeyes rolling in the recruiting ranks early.
Ohio State football recruiting: Urban Meyer getting to work in Columbus
The Buckeyes have one of the top recruiting classes in the nation.

Ohio State ranks second in the nation in the 2247composite team rankings, trailing only Alabama. That puts them on top of the Big Ten, with Michigan the only team even close to them in the ratings.
The Buckeyes expanded their class to 18 in the month of the September, when they added four-star athlete Noah Brown from Pope John XXIII (N.J.).
Damon Webb is the star of Ohio State’s class. The cornerback out of Cass Technical (Mich.) High School is considered a four-star by the 247sports composite. He is rated as the sixth-best cornerback in the country and the second-best player in the state.
Jamarco Jones is another good get for the Buckeyes. The offensive tackle is from De La Salle Institute (Ill.) and is rated a four-star by the 247sports composite. He is considered the fourth-best offensive tackle and the third-best player in the state.
Dante Booker is one of the top players in Urban Meyer’s class. The outside linebacker is from St. Vincent-St Mary (Ohio) High School and is considered a four-star by the 247sports composite. He is considered the third-best outside linebacker in the country and the second-best player in the state.
Jalyn Holmes is another big part of the class. The defensive end is from Lake Taylor (Va.) High School and is rated a four-star by the 247sports composite. He is considered the fourth-best weak-side defensive end in the nation and the fourth-best player in the state.
Demetrius Knox is another top player in Ohio State’s class. The offensive guard is from All Saints Episcopal (Texas) High School and is considered a four-star by the 247sports composite. He is rated as the fifth-best offensive guard in the country and the 15th-best player in the state.
