Enrolling early is a major advantage for recruits who are mentally ready to skip their final semester of high school and begin a college curriculum and weight training program. Additionally, enrolling early allows the recruit to become acclimated with the program and participate in spring practice -- a major leg up on the other incoming players who must wait until the summer to start school.
Texas A&M recruiting: Aggies hope six early enrollees can make instant impact

Texas A&M is welcoming six early enrollees for the 2014 recruiting class, which consists of 21 members, including a five-star quarterback and a pair of four-star recruits.
The Aggies’ group of early enrollees is led by quarterback Kyle Allen, who comes to College Station as the nation’s top-rated pro-style passer. Allen, who attended Scottsdale’s Desert Mountain High, is ranked as the nation’s No. 15 player overall. The 6’2, 185-pound signal-caller held 18 reported scholarship offers, including Alabama, Ohio State, Notre Dame, UCLA, Arizona State, Oklahoma State, and Wisconsin.
Four-star tackle Jermaine Eluemunor could be watching Allen’s blindside in years to come. The 6’5, 300-pound lineman from Scranton, Pa.‘s Lackawanna County Community College is ranked as the No. 7 JUCO player in the country and No. 3 junior college offensive tackle, and received a four-star rating. He chose A&M over Alabama, UCLA, Ohio State, and Arkansas, among others.

Five-star wide receiver Speedy Noil is also in for spring. The aptly-named Noil, who stands 5'11 and weighs 176 pounds, is set to graduate from New Orleans' Edna Karr High. He is the nation's top-rated receiver and No. 11 overall prospect, and held offers from LSU, Alabama, Ole Miss, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Ohio State, Miami, and a host of other programs. Still to come
Texas A&M also holds non-binding verbal commitments from several star recruits it hopes to sign on Feb. 5, National Signing Day.
The best of the unsigned commitments for the Aggies is Myles Garrett, a five-star defensive end recruit out of Arlington, Tex.‘s James Martin High. Garrett chose Texas A&M over offers from Alabama, Baylor, Florida State, Ohio State, LSU, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, and Texas, among others. He is the nation’s top defensive end recruit and No. 10 player overall. For more on Garrett, check out SB Nation’s profile.
