Enrolling early is a major advantage for recruits who are mentally ready to skip their final semester of high school and begin a college curriculum and weight training program. Additionally, enrolling early allows the recruit to become acclimated with the program and participate in spring practice -- a major leg up on the other incoming players who must wait until the summer to start school.
Early enrollees for LSU: Tigers bring in two recruits for spring semester
A four-star safety and a four-star quarterback are scheduled to arrive in Baton Rouge a little early.

LSU is welcoming two early enrollees for the 2014 recruiting class, which consists of 18 members including 14 four- and five-stars.
Edward Paris, a four-star safety recruit out of Arlington, Texas Mansfield Timberview High School, will use enrolling early as a big help in his quest to earn a starting position. Paris chose LSU over offers from Clemson, Florida State, Notre Dame and USC. He should provide immediate help in the defensive backfield. He is considered the third-best safety in the country and the sixth-best player in the state of Texas. You can check out our scouting report of Paris here.
Paris will be joined in Baton Rouge by Brandon Harris. Harris is an impressive quarterback out of Bossier City (La.) Parkway High School. Harris rated 4-stars by the 247sports composite -- a combination of the four major recruit rating services, and is rated the third dual-threat quarterback recruit nationally. The best of the unsigned commitments for LSU is Leonard Fournette, a five-star running back recruit out of New Orleans, La. St. Augustine High School.
