Texas A&M hosting three four-star visitors and 10 commits

The Aggies will have a large group on campus this weekend.

The Texas A&M Aggies are trying to overtake the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Ohio State Buckeyes for the title of the top class in the country in 2014 and landing commitments from several high-profile weekend visitors would greatly aid those efforts.

The committed prospect in the group is Houston (Texas) Cypress Falls linebacker Otaro Alaka, who pledged to Texas in April of 2013. Also scheduled to visit the LSU Tigers, the consensus four-star prospect is now thought likely to end up in College Station to play his college football, as all of the Crystal Ball predictions made since the resignation of former Longhorns head coach Mack Brown have been for the Aggies.

Alaka isn't the only linebacker being targeted by Texas A&M to finish the class, however, as New Orleans (La.) John Curtis prospect Kenny Young is also visiting this weekend. A US Army All-American, Young is another consensus four-star prospect who still has four official visits to take after making his way to College Station. The home-state Tigers and the UCLA Bruins are thought to be the favorites for Young, with the Bruins trending heavily in the last week.

The third uncommitted prospect visiting is Young's teammate at John Curtis, safety Martrell McGraw. The question is whether the Aggies have a chance to land the 247Sports four-star prospect, as he named the Oregon Ducks his leader on January 13th, exactly a month after taking his official visit to Eugene. Another teammate, star wide receiver Malachi Dupre, believes that McGraw will end up at UCLA, a school that the 6'0, 185-pounder will visit at the end of the month.

Among the 10 official visitors already committed are the top prospect in the country by 247Sports, Arlington (Texas) Martin defensive end Myles Garrett, and eight other consensus four-star prospects, a number that provides some insight on just how talented this class is for the Aggies.
