FSU, Georgia Tech, and Georgia were considered his finalists, but he took the stage without a Georgia hat.
Autry played both cornerback and running back in high school and could end up at either position in college. The 5’9, 175-pound prospect might also wind up playing at wide receiver.
He is a three-star player, ranked 31st among athletes in the 2014 class and 344th overall, according to the 247Sports composite, which averages the rankings of the major recruiting services. Scout ranks him 31st among running backs but has him outside its top 300. ESPN regards him as the No. 249 overall prospect in the nation, while Rivals considers him just the 63rd-best player in Georgia.
