Myles Autry commits to Georgia Tech over FSU, Georgia

Autry, a speedy athlete, made his college choice on National Signing Day.

Myles Autry, who was last seen leading Norcross High School to a Georgia state title, made his college choice on National Signing Day, committing to Georgia Tech. The versatile three-star athlete drew attention from throughout the country and held offers from Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Clemson, Oklahoma, Miami, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Penn State and UCLA, among others.

FSU, Georgia Tech, and Georgia were considered his finalists, but he took the stage without a Georgia hat.

Autry played both cornerback and running back in high school and could end up at either position in college. The 5’9, 175-pound prospect might also wind up playing at wide receiver.

He is a three-star player, ranked 31st among athletes in the 2014 class and 344th overall, according to the 247Sports composite, which averages the rankings of the major recruiting services. Scout ranks him 31st among running backs but has him outside its top 300. ESPN regards him as the No. 249 overall prospect in the nation, while Rivals considers him just the 63rd-best player in Georgia.
