    HAYWARD, Calif. -- In a back-and-forth battle that continued all the way into the Final Five for the offensive line/defensive line one-on-one drills, Honolulu (Haw.) Farrington defensive tackle Breiden Fehoko and Corona (Calif.) De La Salle defensive tackle Kahlil McKenzie went back and forth beating every offensive linemen put in front of them at the recent Oakland Nike Football Training Camp at Chabot College.

    Call both of them victors after each earned an invitation to The Opening, the prestigious event that features 150 of the nation’s top prospects competing at Nike World Headquarters in Oregon.

    HAYWARD, Calif. -- Clovis (Calif.) West wide receiver Darian Owens has a chance to be one of the top wide receivers in the state for the 2016 class and showed why at the recent Oakland Nike Football Training Camp at Chabot College.

    How good was his afternoon? Good enough that he earned consideration for the wide receiver MVP award, which ended up going to Danville (Calif.) San Ramon’s JJ Koski, a 2015 wide receiver still looking for his first offer.

    HAYWARD, Calif. -- Kirk Johnson, a 2015 running back, and Collin Johnson, a 2016 wide receiver, of San Jose (Calif.) Valley Christian are one of the top pairs of brothers preparing for college ball on the West Coast. They made it out to the Oakland Nike Football Training Camp at Chabot College to compete against other top prospects.

    SB Nation Recruiting caught up with the brothers after the event to talk about their decision to commit to Texas in April.

    That’s not necessarily by the rankings, however -- it was more about the type of performance that McKenzie put on. Simply put, it was dominant, and it earned the Corona (Calif.) De La Salle his invite to The Opening, the prestigious camp put on by Nike every summer that features 150 of the top prospects in the nation.

    HAYWARD, Calif. -- The Elite 11 camp on Friday in Oakland that produced four invitations to the finals and The Opening was certainly an indication of the type of talent that was on hand at the Oakland Nike Football Training Camp at Chabot College on Sunday.

    In all, six prospects earned invitations to The Opening as a result of strong performances at the camp -- wide receiver Trent Irwin, offensive tackle Semisi Uluave, defensive tackles Kahlil McKenzie and Breiden Fehoko, and defensive backs Marvell Tell and Isaiah Langley.
