Signing Day is just two weeks away, and with the dead period over, recruiting season has hit full speed. A number of high-profile prospects are still on the board, with some of the country’s elite programs racing to lock them up for next season.
Florida, LSU and the 5 other schools with big recruiting weekends
A number of top-100 prospects will be taking official visits this weekend.

Six powerhouse programs have absolutely loaded visitor lists this weekend, with many of them hosting multiple top-100 prospects in the Class of 2015 by the 247Sports Composite. Four of the six schools are from the SEC, to no one’s surprise, but defending champions Ohio State and Pac-12 South runner-up UCLA are also making a strong push.
Florida Gators
Florida has perhaps the best crop of players visiting this weekend, with two of the nation’s top two players scheduled to be in Gainesville. Offensive tackle Martez Ivey, rated as the No. 2 overall player in the country, is supposed to take an unofficial visit, while defensive end Byron Cowart (the No. 3 prospect nationally) is scheduled for an official visit. Joining them is No. 54 overall prospect Deondre Francois, a quarterback currently committed to Florida State, and four other blue-chip prospects, including Miami running back commit Jordan Scarlett (No. 118).
LSU Tigers
LSU picked up a commitment from No. 56 overall prospect Donte Jackson Wednesday, starting what could be a big recruiting weekend for the Tigers. Jackson is scheduled to join five-star cornerback Iman Marshall (No. 4 overall prospect) in Baton Rouge, as well as four-star Ohio State commit Torrance Gibson (no. 76 overall). A number of Tiger commits will also be in house for the weekend, as will four-star offensive tackle Toby Weathersby (No. 104 overall).
More recruiting
Ole Miss Rebels
Ole Miss is welcoming in five-star defensive end CeCe Jefferson, of Florida, as well as four-star receiver Damarkus Lodge, of Texas. The Rebels have a great shot to sign both players, and Red Cup Rebellion has all the details.
Ohio State Buckeyes
While Gibson is in Baton Rouge, Ohio State will be trying to add some top prospects to join him in Columbus. Five-star defensive tackle Terry Beckner, Jr. (No. 13 overall) is scheduled to be in town, and is one of the top targets remaining on the board for the Buckeyes. He’ll be joined by a pair of four-star prospects, including Maryland offensive tackle Isaiah Prince (No. 105).
UCLA Bruins
Out west, UCLA could have three different top-100 prospects on campus for official visits. LSU offensive guard commit Maea Teuhema (No. 37) is scheduled to be on campus, but he may end up in Baton Rouge instead. Former Michigan tight end commit Chris Clark (No. 85) will be on campus, as will four-star defensive end Joseph Wicker (No. 87). They’ll be joined by four-star Hawaiian offensive guard Semisi Uluave for the weekend.
Auburn Tigers
Auburn’s weekend visiting list isn’t quite as long as those of some other schools, but they have a pair of elite prospects scheduled to come into town. Five-star defensive tackle Daylon Mack (No. 14) will take an official visit to see the Tigers, and he’ll be joined by Tennessee cornerback commit Justin Martin, considered the No. 11 JuCo player in the country. Also in town will be three-star Kentucky cornerback commit Jeremiah Dinson.
Texas A&M Aggies
Texas A&M is another SEC school bringing in multiple top-100 prospects -- one from their local territory and one from SEC country. The Aggies will host four-star Florida running back Dexter Williams (No. 93) and four-star Texas cornerback Kris Boyd (No. 97) this weekend. They’ll be joined by A&M commit James Lockhart, and three-star TCU offensive tackle commit Sam Awolope could be in town.
