ADDISON, Ill. -- One of the standout performers at the Nike Opening Regional Chicago was St. Louis (Mo.) Christian Brothers College running back Tre Bryant, who posted the second-highest SPARQ score in the country so far this year.

Summer visits could loom large in his recruitment.
SB Nation Recruiting caught up with Bryant after the event on Sunday.
Though the 5’10, 195-pound consensus three-star prospect said that he’s “open to all schools” right now, but was willing to name Indiana, Missouri, Kansas State, UNLV and Syracuse as schools in which he has high interest.
Bryant hails from St. Louis now, but since he moved there from California, he doesn’t really have any deep ties to the Missouri program.
“I didn’t really grow up watching them,” he said.
However, proximity could play a role so that he can stay close to his mother and she can watch him play, while he also feels like he’s a fit in the spread offense run by the Tigers. But as much as he likes the offense, he’s willing to commit to a school that focuses on running the ball between the tackles as long as he’s comfortable there.
Playing at Indiana wouldn’t require much of a transition since the Hoosiers run a spread offense similar to Bryant’s high school -- he’s comfortable in the zone running scheme utilized by head coach Kevin Wilson.
For Kansas State, the family environment he experienced while on a visit to Manhattan caught his attention.
“The coaches all seemed level-headed and real,” he said. “They spoke the truth to me.”
UNLV is a school he will continue to research moving forward because he doesn’t know as much about the Runnin’ Rebel program. Summer visits to UNLV, Northwestern and Indiana could all loom large in his recruitment.
